Propolis & Cold and Flu

December 19, 2019 1 min read

Flu Symptoms?

Propolis is made from the resin of conifers, such as pine and other evergreen trees.

Some believe the biological components of Propolis may help shorten the length one suffers from the common cold or flu.

“Propolis has antibiotic-like properties that actually slow the growth of fungi, bacteria and viruses,” reports the site Natural Health 365.

“Medical researchers have determined that, used in liquid or capsule form, propolis can alleviate symptoms and duration of such ills as sinusitis, influenza, sore throat and the common cold,” they add.

How to Use Propolis to Alleviate Symptoms of the Flu

“Propolis is rich in bioflavonoids that may be responsible for its reputed antiviral properties,” says NYR Natural News.

“Try taking 500 mg once or twice a-day to treat viral infections, sore throat, pain and fever associated with colds and flu…” the site recommends.
