This rich honey pound cake recipe will melt in your mouth faster than warm chocolate.
You Will Need:
3 Tablespoons Raw Honey
4 Large Eggs
2 Teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 Sticks of Butter
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 1/3 Cup Sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, beat together your sugar and softened butter and vegetable oil until it forms a creamy consistency.
In a small bowl, add together your vanilla, honey, lemon juice and eggs- BUT DO NOT MIX THESE TOGETHER. Allow the eggs to remain intact. Continue by adding this egg mixture, one egg at a time, to a mixer; blend on low speed for 3 to 4 minutes. In a separate bowl, mix together your flour, salt and baking powder. Add these dry ingredients and your butter mixture to the mixer and continue blending your ingredients until the batter becomes light and fluffy.
Add the mixture to a greased baking pan and cook until the toothpick comes out of the center completely clean, which should take about an hour or so.
